Search in plain English

Type “pdfs from last week over 8 kb”. FileOctopus turns it into filter chips you can edit or remove.

How to do it

  1. Press ⌘F to search.
  2. Type a phrase such as “pdfs from last week over 8 kb”.
  3. FileOctopus turns each part it understands into a filter chip: PDFs, Last week, > 8 KB.
  4. Click a chip to change it or choose Remove; the results update straight away.
  5. Put words in quotes when you want them matched as a name rather than read as a filter.
