Find files by where you downloaded them

from:github finds files whose recorded source is GitHub.

How to do it

  1. Press ⌘F.
  2. Type from:github to find files whose recorded source is GitHub.
  3. Mix it with other filters, for example from:github ext:zip.
  4. Sources come from the where-from information macOS records for downloads; a copied file can lose it.
