Coming from Windows? Make Return open files

Settings ▸ General has Windows Explorer habits, off by default.

How to do it

  1. Open FileOctopus ▸ Settings ▸ General.
  2. Turn on Return key: Opens the item. Return then opens the selection; rename with F2 or File ▸ Rename.
  3. Turn on Use ⌘X to cut files if you want Windows-style cut and paste: ⌘X marks items, ⌘V in another folder moves them.
  4. Both are off by default, so FileOctopus keeps Finder's keys unless you choose otherwise.
